Forastero has a high yield, accounting for approximately 80% of global production, and has apungent spicy, bitter, sour and odor taste.
Trinitario, a hybrid variety of the above two aforementioned species, is named after its developmenton the Trinitario island and combines the advantages of the first two cocoa beans, accounting forapproximately 15% of the production.
